JanTech has partnered with a full service regional bank for over 20 years now. They have multiple locations throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, and we’re responsible for cleaning and maintaining many of their branch buildings.
Because this is a bank, our contact was looking for a cleaning team who they could trust and who could abide by the strict security rules of the bank. They prefer to have a set team that cleans their facilities so they are familiar with the people and can better keep track of who has access to their buildings.
Although our client is a bank, they like to look at their branches like retail facilities. Customers come into the branches all day to meet with bankers and take care of their banking needs, and the overall appearance and cleanliness of the branch makes a huge impact on those customers. So just like a restaurant or retail store, cleanliness of the facility benefits the customers as well as the employees.

30 Branches to Clean
With so many branches spread out across Ohio, it could be seen as a big challenge for some cleaning companies to cover that much ground—30 branches to be exact. When we started our partnership with the bank, we knew we’d need to come up with a plan to cover all these branches efficiently.
High Security Buildings
In addition, these are high security buildings and the corporate office needs to keep track of who has access to their branches. While it’s a lot of work to do, our client prefers to maintain a smaller, tight-knit team for security reasons. That’s exactly what we provide them!

A Specialized, 40-Person Team
We have a 40-person team assigned to this client in order to clean the 30 branches we’re assigned to, but split up the different locations among the team to make the routes more efficient. Typically there is one person assigned to a branch, and that person will clean two branches that are in close proximity. We have additional people on the team to account for call offs and vacations so that the branches are always covered.
Area Supervisors, Independent Audits, and Monthly Assessments
At JanTech, we put a system of checks and balances in place to reduce and almost completely eliminate any incidences of poor quality work. Within that system are area supervisors, independent auditors, and monthly assessments to ensure our employees are doing the work they’re supposed to, at their best ability.
The responsibility of the Area Supervisor is to oversee each site within their region, monitor employees and represent the best interests of our client. Area Supervisors are available 24 hours a day in case there are any issues at the facilities.
Our corporate contact at the bank doesn’t want to have to think or hear about the janitorial services at their branches, but want the peace of mind that their branches are well taken care of. We are able to provide that peace of mind by having independent audits in which we receive very objective feedback that we can then distribute to our team. This helps us identify any issues and initiate training to eliminate those issues.
Monthly assessments also help us identify any training that is needed for individual team members. Employee assessments are very thorough, as the details are so important to our client. The assessments check everything—even to make sure that bottles of cleaning supplies are labeled correctly.
